Holocaust Awareness Poll

Curia did a poll for the Auckland Holocaust Memorial Trust on Holocaust Awareness in New Zealand. The full results are below.

Holocaust Awareness Poll Results July 2019

Key findings were:

  • Only 43% of New Zealanders said they know a reasonable amount or a lot about the Holocaust
  • 4% of New Zealanders think the Holocaust is a myth or has been exaggerated
  • 30% of New Zealanders are unsure if the Holocaust is a myth or has been exaggerated.
  • Only 43% of New Zealanders knew that the number of European Jews killed in the Holocaust was around six million
